Black Butterflies

by Metus

The album " Black Butterflies" is a big turn in Metus' history. Almost a decade has passed since the very first release came to daylight in early 2007. Now this music touches the deepest parts of souls stronger than ever before . This happens when the art is pure, even virgin. Metus reveals his thoughts and feelings with no compromises through beautiful melodies wrapped in unique, lonesome poetry. The original combination of ambient, rock, neoclassical, metal and early 4AD elements takes listeners to the lands of dreams beyond mind and space... the space of pure feelings. Not only with melodies emanate this album. There are so many details which sounds like pure spiritual power: ambient drums, melodic guitar solos, violin & cello parts which takes us to heavenly places....and sth new - female vocal parts...But don't worry! - it is still oldschool Metus, with his low pitched voice, same unique harmonies, same lonely spirit, but such beautifully developed, such deep and eternal! The album is released in 2 versions - english and polish with the arrangements changed a bit due to the specific expression of those two languages. It took lot of time but was worth of such an effort - shoots straight to the heart of a listener and let those sensitive ones flood with tears of eternity and sth more... Pure art, limited edition in digipack and jewel case (polish version).

Track Name: I'm adrift
I'm Adrift
Carried on by the waves
I dream life
Swept further and further away
Toward some mirages of lands

In the cold of the misty sun
On the waves of existence
Drifitng far away from home
Drifting on and on and on
